OUR BACKGROUND
How We Got Here
Our association has over 600+ members from the Department of Community Supervision,
Board of Pardons and Parole, Department of Corrections, County Misdemeanor Probation
Offices and local law enforcement throughout. GPACS mission is to provide training to enhance
the effectiveness, efficiency, and professionalism of its members in their respective professions.
Constitution & Bylaws
The main objectives of the Association shall be: to improve the community supervision profession; to strengthen and promote appropriate community supervision services to be rendered to the people of Georgia; to support mutual objectives of other criminal justice agencies; and to establish and maintain cordial relations and fellowship among our community supervision personnel. This Association’s goals are to have an annual training conference(s), annual scholarships for active members and their family members, annual awards for membership, support given to fallen officers, and hire a lobbyist to speak on behalf of the membership to the legislature when needed.
